well said! thanks
i want to add that the idea for this shot came to me while i was actually sitting in the upper floor of a train passing by this site, while i was just looking outside and suddenly for only a split second i spotted that exact corridor, from where i took this photo. the next second i had the perspective for this shot in my head. so for me this photo is like a mirror of a memory. sounds weird, but is true...;) |

what directionby MephistoComment by DJWoodward: It's already been said but I have to concur that the movement of the train adds a masterful touch. For me the train metaphorically represents life passing by quickly as the building slowly decays. |

How many people...by MephistoComment by pineapple: Through a window, back and forward in time. A grand image. I like the tone you use in this series. The lace/net curtain, so common in my England, is a nice touch of some distant person. |

always watchingby MephistoComment by pineapple: Moving view and viewpoint. I can put much imagining into this photo, partly because I am at present reading Before the Flood by Otto Friedrich, about Berlin in the 1920s. That far of light is divine, more or less, in symbolism... nice series of photos. |

sinking into oblivionby MephistoComment by pineapple: Seeped in history. Those cisterns have a nice head of pressure, being up so high. I used to work in tin mines in England and those toilets remind me of the mass showers we used... no privacy really. |
