Built in 1688, the castle was used as an insane asylum since 1811. During the Governance of the Nazis many thousand sick, old, "non-aryan" and mentally handicapped people were killed in gas chambers in the basements of the castle.
After WWII it housed a factory for turbines as well as a sanatorium and a sheltered workshop.

Truly a place where lots of history took place, this beautiful old building decays since 1991.

Seeped in history. Those cisterns have a nice head of pressure, being up so high. I used to work in tin mines in England and those toilets remind me of the mass showers we used... no privacy really.
