Lovely background, but I'm not convinced by the model's pose/attitude. Shoulders seem very tense and awkward. There's a nasty shadow cast by her jacket... caused by off camera flash? Also some haloing around the girl which is presumably why it had to be validated.

This picture made me stop, that's always a good or a bad sign.
It's creative, it's a good photo, I like your crop, the title makes sense, I like the graduated background. It doesn't tell me anything, but then, tacks is a realy boring subject, you made something out of it. Hope to see you on the frontpage in a bit.

I don't get the story behind this picture but maybe that doesn't matter; it's a very strong photo, nevertheless. I love the contrast of the pale-skinned woman(Gwyneth Paltrow?) against the orangey-red background. Having her in the corner of the photo is great, makes the tacks against her skin stand out. Also, her blue eye looks bluer due to the blue tacks in the picture. One distracting element, I think, is her earring. But otherwise a great shot. 9
