A Yellow Way to Escape.by DougPazComment by tcherring: CRITIQUE CLUB:
Lighting: Perfect - very well done.
Technical: Your camera setting were great.
Challenge: Met the challenge and it's very attention-grabbing, which is what you want for a competition. This piece is one that people will remember.
Overall: Very hard to critique because it's done so well. The centering works well (because there is only one object of focus), and you left the perfect amount of space on both sides and the bottom. Overall, a greta print that deserved higher marks. |

A Yellow Way to Escape.by DougPazComment by DougPaz: Just so everyone knows....I had a piece of yellow rope and tried to make an emotional shot. Fortunately , I am about the happiest guy in the world so there is no parallel from my life to this photo. I was just fooling with lighting and an idea!
I think that most people caught the double entendre of "Yellow" being the cowards way out for the title, but certainly not everyone. |

Color Mattersby DougPazComment by rmahan: I could see this image used in a textbook or a magazine. I think it has broad appeal for stock use because it could be used for so many possible themes. |

Color Mattersby DougPazComment by dimitrii: A perfect stock image, as it has space for text, good contrast. The use of several colours makes usefull for diversity related uses, the straight line and sharp angles are great for business/service use, in some artsier places can be used as a frame fill image. Perfect a 10! |
