sunset.jpgby electrolostComment by MelonMusketeer: I can see what you were going for here, as I recently shot some of the moon with a cell tower. It was difficult to decide if I wanted to shoot focused on the tower or to focus on the moon. The one that I kept was a compromise, with both a little soft. I see that you chose the same focus for this, and it works nicely, as the structure is soft enough to not look so static and it blends into the very nice sky. |

bear.jpgby electrolostComment by Jutilda: All I can say is WTF?? rofl Had I not seen the words "bear," I'd have no idea what the heck that is. Amazing how we can take an ordinary object and make it into a mystery with a little blur. |

bear.jpgby electrolostComment by Germaine: I'm with the others. I see a deer not a bear. Quibble, quibble, quibble... Interesting shot and use of that white background. (Negative space?) |

bear.jpgby electrolostComment by GeneralE: In the thumbnail size especially it does look like a deer/fawn, with the mouth taking the place of the underside of the neck -- the teeth are not really distinguishable in the small size. Maybe if you darkened the inside of the mouth and the lower lip a little it would be clearer.
I also think the B&W high-key treatment is appropriate for this image, lending it a sense of motion/dynamism which suits the subject. |

bear.jpgby electrolostComment by MelonMusketeer: I think that the spots have something to do with the "Bambi" illusion. My first impression was to think "What kind of dog is that?"
The very high key works good with this image. The title gives it away a bit, instead of letting each viewer see what he wants to see in it first. |
