Final thoughtby MichaelCComment by roz: depressing and sad .. the facts that the anti-depressant companies dont tell you is that they can actually cause ppl to suicide .. especially when given to young ppl and also when they're combined with other 'helpful' drugs .. the doctors/psychiatrists continue to hand them out without fully understanding the effects .. its criminal .. so this is very real ..
i hope it isnt real for you tho .. :)
ps .. 'the mystery' .. i'd love to solve that one .. !!..:) |

Peaseblossomby MichaelCComment by phylsy7: While this photo in and of its self would not be considered child pornography it is disturbing to me that a parent would let a complete stranger take their child's photo nude and then post it on a web site. If those parents knew what perverts do while looking at photos such as this I believe they would not have given you permission. I worked in law enforcement for 25 years and spent 18 years as a child abuse investigator and have seen what perverts do. Parents please think beyond the here and now...try to think about all the possiblities (positive and negative).
I am not a "nude prude". I believe nude can be art. I have a nude in my portfolio...but it is not a child...it is an adult. There are boundaries. |

Peaseblossomby MichaelCComment by mpeters: Sweet shot, processing, presentation. I guess I'm naive to a fault-- I can understand how this picture could be taken the wrong way but to me it seems very innocent. phylsy7 makes a good point but without you sharing that part of the story, the viewer is left to assume that you have a close relationship with the child and her parents. Dunno, can't really explain my reaction... Message edited by author 2009-02-09 13:54:17. |

Peaseblossomby MichaelCComment by SaraR: I have revisited this photograph a number of times over the course of the week, and here we are at the end I am still unsure about my feelings towards it. To be honest, I do find the photo somewhat unsettling. The effect of the pose and style of processing give the image a whimsical feel, part Cicely Mary Barker, part Midsummer Night's Dream, and yet at the same time there is a hint of knowingness, even of eroticism that I am very uncomfortable with. There seems to be something of a dichotomy within the image, and certainly in my reaction to it. |
