This IS my good sideby MelethiaComment by Kelli: I see you made it to the zoo. Good for you! This is an excellent shot, and I personally love the DOF. The glass really is hard to shot through and I often run into the same type of problems (can't back up because of glare and then they are too close). I didn't enter or vote this challenge, but I would have given you a 10. You seem to have gotten quite a bit of his personality into the shot! |

Vinyl is making a comebackby MelethiaComment by raish: A quick run through the entries shows that maybe 'pop culture' is too nebulous a concept for people to agree on. The innocent(?) bystander here really helps to set it off and define it. 8 |

This IS my good sideby MelethiaComment by JuliBoc: Melethia,I voted 4 on this, not because of DNMC but because the shallow DOF bothers me. I wanted to see the whole iguana clearly. I love the color, texture, and patterns of their skin, and I don't think it does justice to the subject to obscure most of him. That being said, I like the pose you captured, and the light, color, and focus on his face is very nice. I got a laugh from the title too. |

Miniature alleyby MelethiaComment by Bernard_Marx: Yes, quite interesting. The dof on the street is particularly interesting... it gives me the feel of moving slightly downhill left... though I am not sure if that is the natural topology or a perception induced by the processing. |

This IS my good sideby MelethiaComment by SandyP: And it is a very cool photo!!! The texture is AMAZING! I always love these kinds of photos where the shallow depth of field makes them look like their heads are coming off the page at you! Excellent work, Deb! And underrated -- and I'm sure that is only because people voted animals down :( dumb voters!
