Hotel lobbyby MelethiaComment by chalice: Hi Deb. I love the range of tones in this image. You take it from blown out light at the doorway to deep, dark black in the cabinet. The sweep of the low walls, of course, make this image. Nicely done. |

Hotel lobbyby MelethiaComment by roz: deb ... you certainly find some interesting things .. that barrel looks so out'v place in this uncluttered hotel and yet to me it totally makes this image .. love this photograph ... it works amazingly well in b&w .. the fantastic curve of the wall and the carved fence type thing ..(cant think at the moment wot its called!!) .. love the contrasts and the shine on the tiles on the floor .. |

I'm over here, Mom!by MelethiaComment by Bruce_the_Robert: Excellent take on this challenge; I really like what you've done here, and how you've done it. Brilliant tones in this, and nice use of contrast to add impact. Nice. |

Girl bike dogby MelethiaComment by Jedusi: This has a very pleasant gentle feel to it, nothing sudden, or jarring to the eye, just a peaceful scene.
I could imagine it as a poster
ps don't know whether it's her bike or she's wheeling it home for someone but that's a mighty high saddle !! |

Hotel lobbyby MelethiaComment by bdenny: I can't help but wonder why there is an old barrel in the middle of this lovely hotel? It's an interesting juxtaposition but I'm more impressed by the flowing lines and lighting in the right half. |

Gothic, take twoby MelethiaComment by sevilduvarci: my first reaction: wow, what difference it makes the way you crop a picture. i think i like this version more. the other version is definitely spectacular because of how magnificent that church looks. but i like this version with this man being the center of the picture more. it has a warmer, more humane touch. makes me to come up with a story about this man. i like it.
i agree that a tighter crop, taking couple more inches off from the top might actually enhance this effect even more. |

Gothic, take twoby MelethiaComment by posthumous: hell yeah! this will score at least a full point lower than your original, maybe two!
but I love it.
(I might have cropped off another inch, though... oh, I am bad...) |

Cathedralby MelethiaComment by JerseyGenie: Really like the PP on this one. Very nice. I like the dark and gloomy stormy night feel to this, Melethia.
The menacing swirling clouds really helped you out too. Amazing job. |
