I dont mind the tilt so much, though straight up and down probably would have worked too. That or having the ball title straight on the horizon. The extra tilt of that makes the shot feel a bit off balance - minor issue though. Great idea. Nice clean detail on the glass top and ball. My main issue is the stem dissappearing in to the background. I love the look of the base but the stem blending in totally feels odd. The white background has a cool, smooth feel to it and I think I wish either the whole background was that or that the stem was clear glass over black so that there is some separation. Overall a very good experimentation for you Deb. Good idea, good execution. You will be shooting eye candy before you know it. ;)

What I actually see (which I am quite sure doesn't represent reality) is a pirate walking the deck. On the viewer's lower left and right you can see woodwork. Extending upward from there are the canvas sails. The funky-hat pirate is passing ghostlike.

Great shot Melethia! i think the b&w works so well in this shot. It reminds me of pawdrix's shot since there is so much going on in the frame that the b&w prevents any one color or element from dominating the whole scene, keeping the focus on the focus on the whole scene. Great perspective and well done PP really make this shot a beauty, well done!

I like how this is composed, a little off to the side as it is. The gothic glow action works well here, I think - it's actually pretty subtle, a nice enhancement.
