Rust Paintingsby KaveyComment by melismatica: I think this might have looked more abstract without the fly. I like the fly in this photo (although it could be a bit more obvious. I think if you upped the contrast and fiddled with the hue/saturation levels, you would have a stronger design. Also, the bit of negative space along the right edge gives too much sense of depth and doesn't really add to the overall design. I don't see enough of a contast between the negative space created by the black and the shapes created by the rusty splotches. |

San Marco, Veniceby KaveyComment by theodor38: GREETINGS FROM "happy world of criticism club by mehmet"
this is a wonderfull image, i always want to do sneak style photography of unsuspecting individuals like this, after all when they know you are coming they loose the natural expression like they want to protect it like a government secret. i dont knwo the subject was posing or not but i think you achieved to capture a natural look and expression. i like the positioning of the old man and the pidgeon. image has a loneliness feel to it because of the fact that old man seems to be standing by himself and there seem to be crowd all around him, havent we all felt the same soemtimes.. this is a trully remarkable capture of human condition, it represents loneliness, wisdom and tranquility. even thou the man seems to be alone he also looks to be peascefull..and inclusion of the bird really gives it the final punch.. great work.. keep shooting..

Forever Love was the last thing I was looking for...by KaveyComment by mbardeen: Nice macro. Maybe not the first thing that pops into my mind when I think serendipity, but that's a hard thing to get a photograph of, so you get the benefit of the doubt. I like the lighting and the setup. The only thing that really (and I mean really) disturbs me is that the photograph appears to be neatimaged to death. By that I mean there isn't enough detail and texture left in the rings. This is particularly noticible in the sparkles on the right of the top ring, and almost everywhere in the shiney bands. If my vote were to count. it'd be about a 6 |
