The Girl and the Sea by LevTComment by ThingFish: Lovely image indeed. One question. It strikes me that you seem to have taken this shot from quite a high angle looking down on the girl and also from quite close to the girl. You used a 12-24mm lens. Were you standing on a lifesavers tower? (unlikely as lifesavers towers are not right on the edge of the water) Or maybe you are a giant and the girl is a dwarf :) But seriously, I would like to know. |

Andres, that's correct, I just double-checked my EXIF. why would you think it is strange? without the filter the exposure would be 1000x smaller, i.e. 1/1250s, quite normal for a bright daylight. |
I guess 5.6 is really not all that small, I was probably intuitively thrown off by the apparent softness of the light which leads you to think of a cloudy day. You are correct regarding the math. Thank you for answering my question.
