this was my other choice for this challenge

a more obvious S-curve, and a person (incidentally, my wife :)) which is always a good thing for me, but I liked the composition in my entry better.

I'd like to thank the anonymous crow for modeling for me. She marched across a huge courtyard and then jumped from step to step right to the spot where I wanted her to be.

p.s. Thanks for the Red ribbon honor, Don! (this is my third Red from you, can I exchange two reds for one blue and one yellow? :))

Brilliant one I stumbled upon while checking out your prize winner on 'Subtlety'. I love your minimalist approach of just capturing the curve the defines the shape instead of going for the full shape. Very suggestive and leaves it to the viewer to fill the rest with his/her imagination. As posthumous said aptly "anything less is merely a photograph of architecture."

Fifth place! Awesome - and so beautiful too. What a great eye you have for seeing something like this. Congrats on a great finish!

I hope the next person who attempts a picture like this will notice your eye for detail, the perfect angle of the shot, the perfect angle of the shadows, the perfect placement of the bird, and the perfect crop. Anything less is merely a photograph of architecture.

Very nice! Love the contrast, the curves (of course) and that little bird is a nice element.

Marvelou abstract. Excellent lighting and tonal range. The bird is a wonderful addition.
