Interesting - I like the block print effect here. Worked out great that his face is against that black block in the background. Background could be a building - side and door suggested - with an outdoor oven beside it. The contemporary button-down shirt and especially the ballpoint pen make me smile.

For me, this picture is about contrasts - the b&w scene, with all-Caucasian clean-cut cast all looking directly into the camera vs. the vivid colors and tattoo of a lady of asian heritage looking away from the camera. You did a good job of keeping the reflections down to a non-distracting level.
