I knew this was the winner as soon as I laid eyes on this image. Almost kicked myself because I originally had submitted a photo of a…. Actually I’m not going to mention it just in case I enter it in another challenge. But you have probably heard me say that many times. Quite astonishing how often you will enter a photo of something I originally intended to do.

Clearly the sepia version is far superior.

after looking at the colour and this black and white .. i much prefer this one ..
there's something about black and white images that can evoke an emotional response .. more so than colour for me .. especially when the scene or image lends itself to that feeling ..
i love the way you have cropped this with the tables and chairs leading to the solitary lady eating .. bent over her meal ..
your street photography is up there with the 'masters' as far as i'm concerned .. :)
