Lev, I remember when there weren't any seals here, and my parents took me there to learn to swim in Salt Water. At the time my Grandma Jessie had one of those old houses right by this cove. The funny thing is, the entire cove is artificial: Helen Browning Scripps had it built and gifted it to the people of La Jolla so the children would have somewhere sheltered to swim. Sadly, not anymore :-(
