it appears your opinion was shared by a few of the voters judging by breakdown .. ie. the low votes ..
I think any departure that strays too far from the original .. especially in a standard edit .. will get very divided opinions ..
I'm a big fan of departing from the original .. lol .. especially if the resulting image wow's me in some way ..

it looks like you wow'ed lots of voters because of your decision ..
would be great to know how it would have gone in the challenge without the radial blur.. :)
