I like this, but not sure what is out of balance, it seems composed pretty well. Maybe the dramatic tilt? It's certainly subject to ones personal interpretation.

Yeah, this is a Norman chapel, quite different from the later Gothic style.

I didn't notice gold vs. orange in this one.

However, when I saw this it immediately reminded me of a scene from the book "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell" by Suzanna Clarke where Norrell compels all of the figures in a church to be magic'ed into animation, and they all spend the morning wandering around the church and telling anybody who'll listen of what has happened over the last few centuries to anybody watching. This could be the church that I had in my minds eye (though perhaps a little more gothic).
