I did not vote on this image, but I would have given a 5 to it.
The sunset is just absolutist gorgeous giving that nice warmth tone, you have a front, mid and background which I love in landscapes, The huge rock on the right and it looks misplaced and could have been taken care of plus it looks too dark with the composition. it would receive a 5 from me because 1. It did meet the challenge, it would stay a 5 for me because of the darkness of the shadows in the middle and the contrast, they seem to be fighting each other. The gorgeous tones to the darkness just did not meet up with the rest of the beauty that beholds the scene.

Try upping the shadows, play with the shadows, darks and lights with the middle of the image. I think it would have proven to be a stronger image.

Well that's a fall picture. I would have darkened the white trunks as they distract my view. I like the 3 lines crossing. I give it an 8.
PS.If you can take the shot again and put you angle higher that the 3 lines are in the middle of the picture, making it to the viewer a feeling of being there.

Barry, many thanks for putting the additional info up. My comment in 'the thread' was because I was confused by the results and tbh I still am - probably why I've never added an overlay to any Challenge entry ;)
