Anger, The Flame Within Us All

Anger, The Flame Within Us All

Nice, does capture a hint of anger. The lighting almost works here, anger is dark, but somehow the noise is overpowering the photo. Your subject has sharp features and with more light, could be drawn out. The contrast needs adjusting to somehow make the background less dominant. From an artistic perspective, it would be nicer if the jaw lines were stronger, and the muscle more tense. Anger should have muscle flare, otherwise it is not anger, but more sullen. 7

Interesting subject -- this shot could hold more interest if you had backed off a little bit, got the camera closer to the ground and found a nice angle. Maybe fire the flash to light up the tombstone to set it apart from what's behind it. Nice shot as it is though, just begging for a little more attention.

Thanks for entering this image for your People II challenge.
Great compositon and good job with the lighting and focus.

Even though the photo was staged, it sends the message that are people like this through out the world. I believe its the way the eyes look, that give this image its appeal. The downward sad and defeated stare, the vacant and hopeless message it sends. For some reasons to make a total package, I would have liked to see the hands. They seem to be hidden, and tucked away. I also like the use of the wall as a background. It gives the image some balance and stability.

Great job, and good luck in your next DPChallenge.

The border is too thick and dark - overwhelms the subject totally.
I imagin you've already been told this several times, as have I on mine :)

Meets the challenge requirements, but lacks that hook necessary to grab and hold attention.

border a bit distracting. Maybe a much thinner one would be better

Probably one of the most minimalist photos submitted. If technical definition is what wins challenges, you've got a good shot.
