Yeah...I sent it to him so he could show me the potential it has. I feel like at times I completely go overboard editing and then other times I miss the mark totally (like this one).

I though this was fabulous, it really looks like a shooting star that I see in real life and it has transferred to photo where as many others, including mine, do not look like yours. I am a first timer at shooting stars, but it looks like you have the Milky Way as well!

Interesting composition, the brilliant meteor flashing across the upper right corner, almost an afterthought. Of course it's not, but it feels like a reminder that yes, the world is full of wonder. The glow of the Milky Way adds a subtle diagonal to the image. The trees work well as foreground, establishing scale and perspective.
