The Beggarby ValdoComment by annig: I gave you an 8 for this image during the challenge, think this is excellent
I tried taking a similar picture when I was in San Miguel de Allende; first the woman spit at me, then turned her back to the cam (& so that was my capture-hr back..aye!). I was pretty clueless about why until I found out some for the indigenous folk ther think the camera takes their soul as you take their picture.. |

Day 11: Music Hallby ValdoComment by Mr_Pants: At first, I was going to suggest cropping this radically, but after looking at it for a while, I feel that it benefits from the negative space. |

Day 11: Music Hallby ValdoComment by icu1965: Nice shot, thanks for the effort. I can only imagine if someone saw you, so close to the ground, what they were thinking. |

Day 11: Music Hallby ValdoComment by annig: ha! you & I should go out shooting together! Sometimes I think I am nuts, the positions I get into in public no less! :)
I love the silhouetted silhouette against the sky with just the hint of contre jour there on the right...tight composition tho understandbale given the actual constraints of the image in its space... |

Day 11: Music Hallby ValdoComment by MaryO: What? You mean you wouldn't sacrifice your comfort for a better picture for us? Some people ;-p
Here's something I try when feeling similarly challenged by a location: open up the lens to its widest (18mm, it looks like), set the focus manually to infinity (or not, if you have a specific effect you're going for and want just something closer in focus), then stick the camera down near the ground or wherever you think a better vantage point would be and see what you can get without looking through the viewfinder! Take shots with the camera at a few different angles, see if you like anything you got, make adjustments, repeat. *I* find that to be a kind of fun game ;-) |

Day 9: The Officeby ValdoComment by Charlene: Considering how sad the office is, it must be really sad outside to have the shades pulled (if that is indeed what those are). I guess you want to get work done, this is the place to do it. |
