I like the pose, and I can see where this might be used as a cosmetics advertisement. The lighting seems a little harsh - or maybe a little cool. Warmer lighting might make her look a little younger and a little friendlier. Here she looks 'fierce', which may or may not have been the intention.

This model has very good facial features and structure in jaw line and eye expression. Very balanced features. I also love the pose. Make up is an issue though. Unfortunately, her face make up seems to enhance the flaws rather than mask them. The lines under the eyes and on the forehead needed to be masked with make up for this type of shot, which I believe is a make up fashion shot. Other than that, a very pleasing photo.

Did you know he built a lightbox for the street photos? That's how he got such rich details on the subject while also getting the lovely white background. It had panels on each side and one overhead. If I remember right, the side ones were black. Maybe not. Maybe someone else improved on his idea but I think it was him. Anyway. Good job.

your background seems a bit brighter than what I see of Avedon, and has less noise. Another thing Avedon does most of the tiome, yet not all the time, is to slightly off center the subject. You have captured the individual's personality and candidness well.
