It would have given a more "conspiratial" element had you made the prices of the gas in focus. I just noticed the guy standing guard as the gas is being pumped in. Too bad he isn't standing there by the cones in the same stance.

I would have liked to see something else in this shot to really make it apparent what you were talking about. Either the prices on the pumps, or on the main sign. The night-time colors are also a little bit weird, you might see if you like it any better in B&W.

I understand that this guy was probably just about as red and raw looking as he appears in this photo... but it would have been more flattering to him (without detracting from its effectiveness as a portrait) if you'd desaturated the reds a bit. He'd still look chafed and weathered without looking quite so burnt.
