An excellent image that fits the challenge well. Exposure is good, with the rich shadows created by the cabbage leaves adding to the sense of texture. Sharpness, probably an important requirement for the challenge, is outstanding. The water drops are a good touch, offering a softer counter-balance to the rest. The natural colours are beautiful.
In my opinion, the negative space around the cabbage detracts slightly. I would have preferred a crop that isolated just the centre of the cabbage, also omitting the carrot, which in my opinion is more of an eyetrap, drawing our eye away from the central theme, which I believe to be the richly textured leaves. As well, the carrot has the unfortunate effect of "cutting off" the lower right corner of the image, which, I feel, is never a good element. This effect is enhanced by a small portion of black background at the extreme corner. It could be argued, however, that the vertically-running texture in the carrot's skin is a nice complement to the deeper textures above, but the composition in this regard does not work well for me.
You seem to have carefully controlled the lighting in this scene to enhance the wonderfully ridged leaves. You may have been able to get an even more dramatic effect by playing with lighting yet further.
Although the colours are rich and beautiful, perhaps duotone would have had a very strong impact.
Overall, a beautiful image regardless, very rewarding to study. Thanks!
Hope this helps,

This is a lovely image, the blues, the yellow on the boat, the crisp clear color and image lend itself very well. The overall balance is also there, very well centered.
It meets the challenge in that it has the yellow base for the boat but that's about all that really jumps out as far as challenge requirements. The yellow doesn't dominate the picture nor does it just fade away. To do better in this paricular challenge you might have desaturated the blue quite a bit to make the yellow stand out more. But I really like the shot just as it is, a very nice stock shot to me. The owner of the boat would probably love a copy of this. In another challenge it might have done better, for this particular one, it met the requirement of having yellow in the shot and that's about it.
Hope my comments help!
