Being Aloneby CowgirlComment by Patella: Great fear. Two problems. The tonal range of the picture is kind of flat. No really strong shadows. Second, I'd like to see not so much a less busy background as one without the welded wire stuff behind the woman. Was a different angle possible that wouldn't have included that? |

Being Aloneby CowgirlComment by vin rigby: yes, my greatest feeling of fear would be the loss of my best friend, my love, shown in the empty space in your picture. |

Being Aloneby CowgirlComment by albright1: What a powerful statement about aging in the United States.... Your photo reminds me of one of my grandmothers. I must phone her. |

Being Aloneby CowgirlComment by GeneralE: Effective in grayscale; I seem to want to crop just a bit more from the top and right... |

Being Aloneby CowgirlComment by bjordan: awww, that is so sad. Did you pose her or was this for real? Great idea for the fear challenge. I think many people have a fear of being alone. I like the b&w. |

Being Aloneby CowgirlComment by mcmurma: Evocative photo. Some may find it a bit dull (though I applaud the use of B&W). However, for me, it does one of the better jobs of any photo I have seen for "fear". The lilly, I think, is key. Well done. |
