Forkedby typologicComment by GolferDDS: Love the colors and the arrangement. The lighting is excellent. I like how the soft shadows cast a slight green to the right side and red on the left. I can see this hanging in an art deco designed restaurant! One of my favorites in this challenge. |

Forkedby typologicComment by bananashay: This one caught my eye several times in thumbnails, I'm glad it finally came up for voting. Way to go making a mundane subject interesting. And I'm curious to see how the colors were accomplished. Would be very surprised if this didn't place highly, it's in my top 3. |

The Most Basic Light Sourceby typologicComment by Art Roflmao: I sat here and stared at this for a minute or two cuz I couldn't decide what to think about it. It meets the challenge, it has great symmetery in composition, good depth. I can't put my finger on it, but I would call this a really good photo that 'could' be a really great photo. Again I'm not sure why. Still a top placer in my list. |

The Most Basic Light Sourceby typologicComment by Arcanist: I really like the reflection and spot on straightness of the focal point. Leads the candle to appear a lot larger than a simple tea candle and this draws the eye right to the focus. The softness of the inside hands also brings the eye to the flame and the long exposure star highlights are very effective. The 'x-ray' effect on the fingers is somewhat distracting, but the gradual push into the shadows seems to mostly nullify that. Very impressive composition and a top contender in my book. |
