Graceby pidgeComment by LucyT: I like the arrangement of the swan. I think it would look great in B&W with a softer light diffused on to it. Title is great. |

Graceby pidgeComment by PaulE: The snaw itself is beautiful. The surface on which it is resting really takes away from it. I think a lovely idea would have been to rest it on a mirror. |

New Herbsby pidgeComment by DrAchoo: Well, you certainly have bokeh in this shot. ;) Two things. I think the entries that did best had a completely focused subject while having a very unfocused background. Not to say that you have to do it that way, but I think the OOF portion of your subject hurt you a bit. The second also relates. Look at the four leaves above the sharp one. I noticed these when I voted and didn't like their haloing. It could totally be your lens (or it may be PP), but I would call this "bad" bokeh. The rest of the shot is pleasant, but those four leaves made me give you a 5. |

Pensiveby pidgeComment by no__1__here: Terrific lighting & conversion. I like the composition with him facing the "short" side of the frame. |

_MG_9213.jpgby pidgeComment by SJCarter: Looks very stark - effectively establishing a mood. Strong composition lines. I'd probably burn & dodge the sky a bit and play with levels/curves to get it to pop a bit more. Very nice capture. |
