IMG_8202.jpgby luv2photoComment by Prof_Fate: i like this, but there any photo can be improved...her eyes are lifeless - need catch lights (PS?) and her skin is too sharp, detailed (PS again). maybe crop in just a bit and lose the white inthe upper right. |

IMG_8168.jpgby luv2photoComment by Prof_Fate: better poseing, but weight is still on wrong leg - weight should be on teh BACK leg, the front one bent. ALWAYS.
bra making bad wrinkles in shirt.
hands good, lighting a bit dull - perhaps some fill flash? Can probably spice it up a bit in PS. I might tilt her head a bit more. |

IMG_8235.jpgby luv2photoComment by Prof_Fate: bad pose (too straight on, odd head angle compared to body, feet positioned badly, weight on wrong leg), belly...a bit too centered. |

IMG_8235.jpgby luv2photoComment by alien2thisworld: I really like this background. The colors are great and add interest to the shot. I like the crop and tilt too. I'm not enthusiastic about her pose here. I can visualize this shot with her leaning back against the bricks, arms crossed comfortably, head tilted down and to her left but eyes looking back up into the camera and smirking. Maybe even just looking down at the ground with no particular expression.
(edit) Just noticed one more small thing. In several shots, her bra looks very rigid and makes some very unnatural lumps and shadows. Message edited by author 2006-04-03 14:15:48. |

IMG_8179.jpgby luv2photoComment by alien2thisworld: This is also my favorite of the shots here. I really like the pose, the crop, and her expression. It looks like her hair is blowing in the wind a little, and I think that adds a nice touch. I love the tilt to this shot as well. I can think of 2 suggestions for this photo. I'd like the background to be blurred even more so it is a softer wash of colors. If you are using your Tamron zoom lens, maybe zoom to 200-300mm, aperture priority at f/6.3 or so. The other small suggestion would be maybe keep her hands within the frame.

IMG_8179.jpgby luv2photoComment by theSaj: Okay, you hit on something with this one.....most definitely....
Great capture of the hair. The eyes are still looking too much at you but not so bad as to be distracting.
The pose is superb for her. You've softened her shoulders at this angle. Allowed her arms to look natural. Taken advantage of her slender form, placed the skirt in a way so as to fall loosely and naturally and maintain a smooth uniform curve; while having the waistline slip downward slightly creating a very sensual but delicate feel.
This shot has almost a 'feline' quality in it's beauty with the sensual arching and delicate curvature. Very very nice job.
There are a few elements that do hurt the photo. But these are minor. The background is somewhat distracting. A building can be seen and the trees just aren't blurred quite a enough. It might worth your while to use photoshop to blurr the background just a little bit more. The wood rail in the forground is blown out and becomes a bit distracting. Maybe some dodge/burn, etc. can help lesson it's effect.
I still think the model needs to smile, and that a nice smile could make this shot spectacular. Already it's a superb shot of a beautiful model. And quite capable of making the blood boil a bit, and although it exhudes a strong sensual feel, it maintains a nubile innoncence which is very nice.
Great job!
This is a shot for her portfolio....
Now, I suggest you do the following - take this pose and re-shoot it in several different settings. This is really a great pose for her body's shape and form. Re-shoot in different settings. Say a on a rock at a beach. In an alley. And in different colors....

IMG_8230.jpgby luv2photoComment by alien2thisworld: I like this different perspective. The pose is quite relaxed and her expression is great. I can think of two suggestions for this shot. Again use a very low powered flash to get catchlights in her eyes would definitely help, and possibly turning this shot to black and white. The colors here don't seem to add much. |

IMG_8202.jpgby luv2photoComment by alien2thisworld: I like the expression a lot, and I enjoy this crop. My only small suggestion, which someone else touched on, would be to use a very low powered flash to get catchlights in here eyes, but not add much exposure to the shot (maybe 1/16th normal flash power). |

IMG_8198bw.jpgby luv2photoComment by alien2thisworld: There are 2 things about this shot that I notice immediately. Her shirt and skin appear to be overexposed (which can be good sometimes, but I don't like it here), and the background is a little distracting. If the DOF blurred the background so one could not identify what it was, then that would be ok. |
