Just a suggestion: add a tiny bit of light to you and your husband's image on this shot. You're just a little bit too dark to make this the most perfect keeper.

Unfortunately there are too many complementary pairs here to demonstrate the effect of one colour contrasted against its opposite. If the photo was cropped to remove the blue feathers on the bird's body, that would have been a great demonstration of complementary colour contrast between red and green.

Nevertheless, this is a great photo of a colourful bird.
