I know this is back from years ago but I still want to comment. This elephant is great, the wrinkles, the detail, the pose; I agree, he looks happy. The DOF emphasizes him, and does it well. I would suggest something but I don’ t see any to make. Well Done Sister.
Composition nice too, just his head.

Well my first comment in a Long Time. I read all the comments below.
We both know you are a better photographer than I am but I still wanted to comment, perhaps it will help. My mom just did all kinds of things for people over the years ( yes this is related), so much that she was given the honor of being a Ky Colonel.....
BUT she was absolutely convinced she didn’t photograph well...so you had to catch her off guard or she MADE her photograph bad. Relax and shoot this beautiful woman like you do the others.
A couple things, having “known” you a few years I know 1.you take great photographs. 2. You are a sweetie!
So if you just relax, stop acting like my mom...😎😎....you will sharpen up this shoot and catch the other points as well.
I will always be a fan, let that Sweet Sandy some of us know come through.
Having said all that, I was drawn to this photo because I know that sweet woman and her great photography, and her smile! TY for putting yourself out there.

ps .. after I posted that I looked at the breakdown of votes ..
I feel the low votes could be from ppl who mark you down when you achieve the desired result using editing ..
many amazing scenes if seen before they were edited would look vastly different from the finished product ..
and yet they pass muster .. it's like a double standard ..
this is so beautiful.. those low votes are like an insult .. sorry if anyone finds that comment offensive ..
