I was going to use a stapler for my shot but I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to get it as good as this. Love the negative space. Only slight concern is the shadow under the actual stapler

Thanks to everyone for their comments! Taking photos of animals is not easy and I am pleased with my entry. I'm also pleased with how far I have come in the 6 months I have been entering challenges. I'm really learning a lot about lighting and composition. And this result also proves it doesn't take an expensive and fancy camera to create great photos!

Very simplistic approach, which works well. I am not opposed to the BW version, but I think in a mechanical challenge, it might have been better to leave this in the color version showing the chrome. Just a thought. Good job 7.
