Green worldby kevinswopeComment by Gekker: I guess that I just do not see how this fits the challenge, although it is a beautiful pic and all. |

Green worldby kevinswopeComment by bod: A bit of a push on the challenge as the flower really doesn't look out of place!
However it's a lovely photo, you've put the flower in just the right part of the frame and the wet foliage provides a nice background. I like it, well done. |

Green worldby kevinswopeComment by Onie: Beautiful. The two colours look very dramatic together, the subject is in very good shape. Maybe some water drops on the flower as well. This would have also looked good done in a macro shot. |

Christmas colorsby kevinswopeComment by timj351: The colors are pretty and the material looks very soft but there is something missing. Maybe it needs something bright and shiny lying on top of the stockings or they need some other arrangement to create a lot of interest. I'm not sure what is going on in the background. I would prefer to either see more of it or less of it. It needs some specific area of interest. I keep thinking that the stockings with their softness and bright colors would actually provide a great background for something like a shiny ornament, toy, or something like that which would create a nice visual contrast. I do like the low angle and closeness to the foreground stocking. There is a feeling like you can reach out and feel the softness of the stockings. The color, exposure, sharpness, and DOF look appropriate. You have some great material to work with I just think it needs some more elements of interest.

Strandedby kevinswopeComment by HBunch: definately looks untouched by man. The angle and framing/cropping is nice, and the lighting looks to be good as well. The focus looks a bit soft to me, but that could just be a result of all the wetness. Overall a nice shot for the challenge. Good luck in the challenge. |

Strandedby kevinswopeComment by lisae: I can see what I'm supposed to see, but only with a bit of work. That's nice in that it makes the most of the contemplative, serene nature of the surroundings, but I think the marriage of title and image doesn't quite work. More visual emphasis on the little plant would have made the title more direct. Placing it in an area where third lines intersect may have worked to draw more attention to it, or perhaps desaturating the photo slightly and boosting the red channel? Good work though.
There, I just tried my own suggestions: //lisa3d.org/images/photos/dpc/stranded2.jpg |

Strandedby kevinswopeComment by FranziskaLang: challenge met. nice focus, nice "splash of color" in the middle. i just wish there was something more ... maybe crop closer to the green stuff. technically it's a good photo, interest-wise it doesn't draw me in too much, sorry. |

Strandedby kevinswopeComment by alanfreed: I might have featured the "stranded" little guy a little more prominently, and perhaps bring the background into sharper focus. |

Strandedby kevinswopeComment by DougPaz: Has the makings of a really great shot. The focus on the plant and leaves (?) makes it tough to see just what we are looking at. DPz |
