An image like this is rated on the tonal expanse of the background. The more, the better. As is the silhoutte, very well framed, is not shown to its full advantage. All in all, the image has enough virtue to earn another bump.

Personally I love this pirtrait so much more then your actual submition for Self portraits.
The other one is great but this one is just... well... perfect.
every aspect of it is thoughtful. I love the mystery of the shadows and the honesty of the light.
Th cat in the background and it's interest in the outside adds another element of curiosity about some out-of-frame happening.
I think it is just a wonderful self portrait!!!
