Excellent in meeting the challenge your desaturation here is put to use well. The detail in the hair and lips is very strong and grabs your attention. But what I don't like is a slightly over exposed area just below the eyes along the nose...there is an area there that grabs your attention cause it appears to white.

Your composition and cropping here make this good...even with that small flaw I still think you should have scored higher. Nice creative take on the challenge.

Technically suberb. Very strong composition.

Others capture the theme better in my view. That could just be me, in that I respond better to people than to snails in the context of such an abstract as freedom.
