Superb lighting and study of texture. I would normally suggest a more diagonal composition for a shot like this... but NOT for this one. The very formal, perfectly centered and vertical composition works perfectly. You found the right time to ignore some rules and go with instict. The black background really sets off the green. Finally, the apeture you used appears perfect! Great job, thanks for sharing.

Nice lighting, makes it glow. Nice simply composition too. Need a touch more light on stem from front as it's not really visible very easily and I think it would balance leaf more if it were.

Superb shot which nicely delivers on the Botony theme. Translucence of the leaf is very effective. Razor sharp focus is fantastic. How you did it with the dark dark background is a mystery I hope you'll do a tutorial on.

As a photo for publication work (i.e cover, advert etc) it is perfect. As a standalone photograph probably not so much as there isn't much to look at apart from an old leaf.

There isn't much wrong with the technique used to take this picture other than the highlights being blown. It is blue also. I can see how well you got everything all lined up in the frame. Personally, it looks more like a scanned picture, as in the bottle was placed on the scanner and a "picture" taken of it. I don't think there is enough in the picture for it to be entertaining.

Cute. Perfect focus on the figure - but somehow you needed to prevent the terrible OOF yellow blob in the foreground. Good exposure and vibrant colors.
