 Well, all I did was set my tripod up directly above an empty gatorade bottle, then I pressed the shutter a couple of times.

There isn't much wrong with the technique used to take this picture other than the highlights being blown. It is blue also. I can see how well you got everything all lined up in the frame. Personally, it looks more like a scanned picture, as in the bottle was placed on the scanner and a "picture" taken of it. I don't think there is enough in the picture for it to be entertaining.
