It's easy to see this as simply a separation based on race, but this moment you've captured here, of the subjects' postures and levels of attention, point to a separation that could be more deeply that of differences in personality and involvement/engagement with others. Nicely seen.

That is a weird effect with those streaks - if you wanted to further emphasize the notion that the streaks were either falling into or floating up out of the cup, you could heal out the slight streaks that appear below the lower rim line.

The diagonals keep the eye traveling nicely through the frame, and all those random circles in the background lend quite a bit of interest - would have much less effect I think, if you had not included those background shapes.

This is SO pretty! I saw another neon sign blurred by Jersey Jeannie and it made me think of a neon challenge we had a while back that was so boring -- one crisp sharp neon sign after the other with little context. The blur makes these photos kind of magical looking. Soft and dreamy with beautiful lights!

This really has a totally different feel. It has a flow to it. I like the silhouettes of the people - almost like they are drifting in and out of the dimension.
