I like the arrangement in this shot. It could grace the wall of a bar in London's Hoxton Square and look ultra cool. The subdued colours are great and the lighting delivers texture and depth. Very nice.

One of the nice things about photography is we get another chance to get it right sometimes. Unless you live a long way away from where this was taken, you can always go back at another time and redo it. Some pros wait for years to take a good picture of a location they like. I think this one deserves another chance for all of the reasons you mentioned.

Great idea!! ;-) I wish there had been some clouds in the sky when I made my balloon shot. Although a bit bright here, they make the photo more interesting.
