The tones in this are very pleasing and you certainly captured the "feeling" of the approaching storm in the background. I like the contrast with the inviting light from inside. Given that, I think you met the challenge well with light being obvious and central to this photo.

This looks like it has some fine detail.It's too bad you made it so small as it is really hard to tell. I like the warmth you've captured in the light coming from the window but the subject matter doesn't hold much interest for me. I like the red umbrella against the dark sky. You have some potential there.

OK - my first submission and now I know the kind of competition I am up against! I rushed this entry and shouldn't have. Also, in retrospect I should have known that the fire/ice theme would be done to death. So 240th out of 291 is pretty dreadful, but I intend to do much better in future challenges. Thanks for the comments everyone :)
