Dangerby sbeaumontComment by riolobo: How does the division of your picture into three frames enhance the photo? How does this "tell...a story or illustrates a concept or object" better than the original image? |

Dangerby sbeaumontComment by mesmeraj: Great use of selective desat. The method seems to work wonderfully in triptych. A normally don't like ellaborate frames, but consider a thin (like 1 px) black frame around the white of the ikages. It is missing something to really make the images pop from the frame. Lovely scene, with great composition. |

Dangerby sbeaumontComment by Germaine: Good subject for a triptych. I think it would have been better with a black frame. Individually, these are very strong shots, and the white frame pulls the eye away from them. |

Lake Michiganby sbeaumontComment by smilebig4me1x: *Critique Club Comment*
Compsition: wonderful composition and an unusual perspective but i think i would have liked to have seen more of the actual lake than the lake bank.
Lighting: natural light is always a wonderful choice is done at the right times like you did here so congrats..lighting is great.
Focus: I also love the deep DOF here as it give the feeling of really being there in person. I can almost feel the breeze and smell the lake so wonderfully done here!
color: while this is a great monochrome photo for your portfolio i do not feel this is an actual High Contrast photo. there looks to be alot of variations of grey rather than a strong black and white difference. maybe trying to adjust the curves and the contrast a bit more would have made this photo meet the challenge better IMHO.
This is truly a great photo! You should be very proud.

Land, Sea and Skyby sbeaumontComment by Jutilda: Very pretty. This evokes a sense of calm. I like the yellow greens against the blue of the water and sky. I wish this image were larger - I'd like to study the details of the rock wall. One sheep , cow or horse would really make this a perfect shot for me. Nice! |

Lake Michiganby sbeaumontComment by justin_hewlett: Beautiful landscape! I love the deep DOF, contrasty black/white tones, and the overall depth and feel of the image. This is by far my favorite of the challenge--10 from me, and it's going in my favorites. Congrats. |
