This is like a Chinese scroll in a single image, starting at the first trace of the trail and through sumptuous autumn to the cloud-graced mountains in the upper right. It's an tacit diagonal that starts back down in the lower left. So subtle and effective. What a way to spend a beautiful day. I also really like the clusters of houses and outbuildings on the right, replete with a scattering of tiny cows. I feel refreshed just gazing into it.

There's a lot filling the frame, but all the details build outward from the central shapes of a rectangle resting atop an arch. It's a composition that may easily be overlooked, but which subtly anchors everything. It's an interesting old structure, and I like how it's embraced the modern world, including a blue-haired woman.
