		| | It's an absolutely stunning shot with or without noticing the skull. Excellent stuff, MAK. |

		| | Congrats on your ribbon Marac! Yeah, I think if you displayed it vertically, you may have beaten me (I for one did not see the skull when I voted). So thanks for that! ))

Yes I did but I thought it was maybe too obvious like that, as well as portrait orentation would mean some people would have to scroll to see the image.... I added it as a thumbnail in the notes for anyone else who may of missed it.

When I went down to the quarry edge the huge skull literally 'jumped' right out at me, I was very lucky, it was autumn colour mixed with deep black still waters, the whole vibe down there was crazy.

		| | Congrats on this one! I admit I didn't see the something else until after the challenge finished. Did you consider posting it in the vertical orientation? |

It's an old Quarry in the Lake District so, yes it is man made, did they design a skull image? I very much doubt it otherwise I have to commend the explosives expert for his artistic streak :)

The place is called Hodge Close, it's a bit of a climb to get down there but when I saw the Skull, it blew my mind (pun intended).

 Thank you for your interest.

		| | There is something very malevolent about this scene in spite of the pretty golden tree. Maybe that tree is a siren, or Judas gost, enticing the unwary to their doom. Top 2. |
