Wonderful framing and perfect for square, as has been said. I would prefer a perspective that placed at least her head against either the water or the sky . . . but I don't know whether that is remotely possible. I'm just not crazy about the merger here.

This is like a Chinese scroll in a single image, starting at the first trace of the trail and through sumptuous autumn to the cloud-graced mountains in the upper right. It's an tacit diagonal that starts back down in the lower left. So subtle and effective. What a way to spend a beautiful day. I also really like the clusters of houses and outbuildings on the right, replete with a scattering of tiny cows. I feel refreshed just gazing into it.
