Castle Coombe? Used to live a couple of miles away when I was a young child. Remarkable to get such a clean shot, without hordes of visitors or cars. A pleasing composition and good textural detail. The tonal range looks complete, but I do rather wish it was slightly brighter.

The emotion you feel for your dear friend certainly reflects in the shot, this is in mi opinion an outstanding shot, which maybe should be printed and shared with your friend

I seem to have a very different idea of what a good DOF shot is vs the majority of the community , nevertheless
