The difference is subtle, but I do like it better. I think you could even crop more off the bottom if you wanted - maybe a square crop so that the tree isn't so close to the center of the shot.

Composition : I've always been a big fan of diagonal lines, and there are plenty here. I like the lines on the shore paralleling the lines of the branch, which oppose the reflection of the branch.

Exposure/Lighting : As others mentioned, the tip of the tree seems overexposed. I wish there was shutter speed / ISO / Aperture info so I could remark on why I thought it may have happened.

Focus : I don't see any problems with the focus. Well done.

Post Processing : I was wondering if you considered this shot for a Black & White? It has all the elements of an image that might do very well without color.

Emotion/Challenge : On first glance, I have to admit, I was lost. After some thought I realized that motion didn't mean dramatic or even fast motion and that the ripples on the water definitely meet the challenge. Way to think outside the box :)

Opinion : Peaceful, relaxing motion. Great slant on the topic.

a couple blown out bright spots, but your focus and clarity are really good. I like the slightly blurred background. it helps to draw attention to the textures on the log. The fungus(?) is interesting. I found myself looking at it trying to figure out exactly what it is. The angle and framing/cropping is good. I also like the patterns of the sticks in the upper right corner. Good luck in the challenge.
