In the Land of Adventureby eirasiComment by tomzinho: great photo, light, composition . . . but someone reading the hobbit outside in the rain by a statue of a mother nursing her child is quite a strange interpretation of 'passing time' |

Two invisible pathsby eirasiComment by eirasi: Thanks for all. I'm happy with that 7th place.
A little bit about the picture. Although it looks a little bit as a photo from Heida I was not at all trying to copy her work or anything.
I started burning and dodging more than 20 years ago in a darkroom.
But I think picture like this is much better and much more dramatic if the sky is rather dark but not sterialised white or blue.
And I have some more picture like this one . here. Message edited by author 2005-02-28 04:28:29. |

In the Land of Adventureby eirasiComment by JPR: Hell yeah. This is awesome. The toning, the gigantic book, the umbrella, the statue. Everything seems somehow wrong like it does't fit together yet righteously correct. Going in my favorites now. 10 |

Two invisible pathsby eirasiComment by mycelium: ahh, Heida it was not, but Iceland. Combination of the characteristic scenery and the human figures dwarfed in a huge landscape makes it look very much like her work.
This was my pick for first- it's a great image. |
