solematesby grigrigirlComment by raish: Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.
Great idea, but it's still a picture of feet. Might a diagonal axis help? Feet down in the corner and the heads on a thirds cross-hair? Lot of joy in those faces and a very fresh take. 7 |

DSC_2258.jpgby grigrigirlComment by JPR: This is my favorite of the newish images you shared here. I like the blues and the struggle to hold on to spontaneity. Has me falling in all the wrong directions and it feels about right. Thank you for sharing this. I read your post in the forum thread about fine art on dpc and I completely agree with everything that you said. I have always entered shots that I enjoyed into the challenges and I don't much care about what the masses think of them. The important thing is the ability to share my own work with others and hope that some of them appreciate it. Lately, I joined up with one the the teams for WPL so I have been paying more attention to my scores than I would have for the sake of my teammates. I look forward to that being over so that I can once again enter shots that I feel are more interesting. I don't really understand the point, at least with my own personal goals in art, photography, and life, of desperately trying to create things that everyone will love. I find that sharing my art is a way of sharing who I am with other people; therefore, people that like my art will most likely be people who would like me as a person. If my art is not a reflection of myself but rather an attempt to make people like me then the people that like me won't even be the people that I would really like. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to comment on your thoughts without getting tangled up in the forum discussion. Message edited by author 2007-04-02 00:12:23. |
