That sea of shallow facesby strangeghostComment by GeneralE: Bright colors in sharp focus usually do well ... for a relatively oblique (for DPC) approach to the challenge topic I think you finished respectably, although I thought it was worth a higher score myself. |

That sea of shallow facesby strangeghostComment by metoecus: Although a very creative photo of a family could have been made with these masks, this image doesn't appear to demonstrate any attempt to relate them to the challenge topic. |

That sea of shallow facesby strangeghostComment by dahkota: Interesting take on the challenge. While the subject is interesting I feel the harsh light detracts from the overall presentation. Use of black backdrop excellent. POV, DOF good. Good luck in the challenge! |

North American Nebulaby strangeghostComment by scalvert: Once again, a great shot. You're having WAYYY too much fun. I'd expect three minutes at ISO400 to result in a fair amount of grain on a 10D, so I'm curious to know how much of the shot is noise vs. stars. It also looks like you're getting a LOT of purple fringing with that lens (blue stars ain't THAT blue). Although it's not as wide, I suspect that your 70-200 wouldn't do that. You might also try a longer exposure at f/8. |
