My Beloved Woody...by taterbugComment by dotje: I usually give the benefit of the doubt that the photographer had a different interpretation of the challenge when something appears DNMC to me, so I don't mark down for it. But in cases like this, despite Woody's good posture and formal pose, he isn't a person. |

Waiting for the ultimate shot...by taterbugComment by SJCarter: I think it's ironic that the utility poles around RR tracks always remind me of crosses and death, so that your pose in the middle of the tracks really does make me think of a train coming up behind you and a portend of potential unsuspected tragedy. The B/W high contrast editing works well. I'd probably crop more off the left to lose the building and take the tracks out of the center - but that's me. :-) Nice capture. |

Saturdayby taterbugComment by SJCarter: This is beautiful. I am a fan of good abstracts and this qualifies IMHO. ;-) Of course abstracts are SOO subjective, but this has wonderful fluid swirling movement and terrific visually appealing colors. Great job. |

Friendsby taterbugComment by SJCarter: Beautiful composition. The lines and curves are really nice. Great use of ROT. Personally, I'm not as crazy about the sepia editing choice for this shot, but I think that it really boils down to a matter of taste for this one. It's a very nice shot, so could be presented well in a number of different ways. Good capture! |

Butterfly in Blueby taterbugComment by SJCarter: Unusual butterfly shot - the flowers actually have much more vibrant color than the insect does. That's almost a distraction. I think that for the foreground flowers it works well, but you might consider dulling or darkening the background ones so that they don't compete with the butterfly for the viewer's attention. |

100_5291-copy.jpgby taterbugComment by SJCarter: I really like the angle & perspective of this shot. What a cute pup! Looks like you captured a lot of personality too. The sky and highlights seem a bit blown out, causing the whole image to seem a little washed out, but otherwise I think it's a cool shot. The crop is great.
