Day 37by BradComment by Brad: fence board.
It took a while finding a fence board that didn't smell like dog pee.
Damn splinters! Maybe I should marinate it... |

Day 37by BradComment by annig: Originally posted by Brad: Was just kidding about Olive Garden. Their food is good, but Americanized.
I've lived overseas and have eaten some pretty wild stuff.
I'm just a CA nut. I'd eat the fence if it was fried and tasted good.
hmmm - lemme go grab a board - brb.

oh, you surf too? and then eat it?

Day 37by BradComment by annig: Originally posted by Brad: The gourds yes, but eating the flowers?
Odd.
Lemme go check the Olive Garden and see if they have any. |

BEH! not at olive garden, dear..they cater to the masses who know not much about Italian/Latin food...give it a try -I promise you won't die. My husband says it's just b/c we like eating things breaded and then fried..LOL. Let me know what you think.. I tell you-you'll be happy!! (unless you're an "I don't eat fried foods sort of person"? you know CA healthnut & all that)

Day 37by BradComment by annig: looks yummy-not sure you know they can be eaten, actually a delicacy in MX & italy..pick them when they're open like that, keep cold, rinse before cooking, dredge in egg/milk mix, then Italian seasoned breadcrumbs...lightly sautee in pan with olive oil & browned garlic, voila! I like them best with mayo on sandwich, but also good with hummus, tomoatoes, anything!
Enjoy!
